Apple iPhone 14 Pro
With the iOS 16 update released in September 2022, Apple also launched the 14th generation of their smartphones. The new version of the operating system also allows the iPhone 14 Pro to continue using the NFC function. Conducted product tests by NFC21 even showed that a higher readout distance of NFC chips could be achieved with the new smartphone generation.
The storage options offered for the iPhone 14 Pro are 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB. The NFC smartphone is powered by a hexa-core processor (16 Bionic chip), a penta-core graphics processor, and 6 GB of RAM. Due to the 6.1'' OLED display with a resolution of 2778 x 1284 pixels at 458 ppi, the Pro variant differs minimally from the standard model. Another advantage of the Pro version is the upgrade to a 120 Hz display, which also has an always-on display feature. Thus, it continues to display limited information even in idle mode and can adjust its heart rate.
Unlike the standard and Plus versions, the Pro model also has a newly designed "Dynamic Island" by Apple that makes interactions with ongoing activities and notifications even faster and more active.
The main focus of the iPhone 14 Pro is the improved camera. Thus, the rear camera uses three lenses and a telephoto lens that can achieve a twofold magnification. The resolution of the rear camera is 48 megapixels, while the resolution of the front camera is 12 megapixels.
Differences compared to the predecessor 13 series.
A new 5G modem is used in the iPhone 14 Pro. Furthermore, the Photonic Engine developed by Apple promises better pictures in lower light conditions. In addition, a newly introduced autofocus as well as a new aperture improves the front camera. A newly installed accident detection can detect serious car accidents and automatically send emergency calls.
