Samsung Samsung Galaxy S24
In January 2024, Samsung released the 5G-capable Samsung Galaxy S24. NFC is also still available and usable as usual.
Not much has changed in terms of hardware. The S24 now has a deca-core processor (ten-core), the Samsung Exynos 2400, with processor clock speeds from 1.95 GHz to 3.2 GHz. This time, an Xclipse 940 GPU was used for the graphics chip. The RAM is also 8 GB as usual. The battery capacity has improved a little, now totalling 4000 mAh.
The S24 has been given new colours again: Colbalt Violet, Amber Yellow, Onyx Black and Marble Grey are available as shades. The colours Sapphire Blue, Jade Green and Sandstone Orange are also available online. As usual, the smartphone is available in 128 GB and 256 GB storage options. The 6.2'' main display has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 px (FHD+) at 416 ppi. The dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S23 are: 147 mm (H) x 70.6 mm (W) x 7.6 mm (D) with a weight of 167 g.
Not much has changed in terms of the camera. The smartphone still has a triple camera, consisting of a 50 megapixel main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 10 MP telephoto lens with triple optical zoom.
The Galaxy AI functions, which are designed to support the user with various actions, are quite new. These include: Converting voice recordings into text, modern searches, voice translations during calls and easier photo editing.
Differences to the predecessor series (S23):
- Galaxy AI functions (e.g. for editing images)
- New colours
- Larger display
