With the NFC Starter Kit Small, we offer you the ideal introduction to the versatile world of NFC. This set enables you to quickly and easily discover and use the benefits of NFC technology for your everyday life. The set includes five carefully selected products containing the following chip types: NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216. These chips offer different memory capacities so that you always have the right NFC tag to hand for every application. Included are an NFC card, two NFC stickers, an NFC magnet and an NFC fob - each in different colors so that the information stored on them is easier to distinguish. This means you can use the NFC tags in a wide variety of places. Whether you want to automate your home with smart devices, create shortcuts or simply share your favorite playlist quickly - with the Starter Kit Small you can implement your ideas effortlessly.
NFC chip
The NXP NTAG21x series impresses with the greatest possible compatibility, good performance and intelligent additional functions. Each individual chip has a unique serial number (UID) consisting of 7 bytes (alphanumeric, 14 characters). The NFC chips can be written to up to 100,000 times and have a data retention period of 10 years. The NTAG213, 215 and 216 chips have the UID ASCII mirror feature, with which the UID of the tag can be appended to the NDEF message, as well as an integrated NFC counter, which increases automatically when reading. Both functions are not activated by default. The NTAG chips included in the starter kit are compatible with all NFC-enabled smartphones, the NFC21 tools and all ISO14443 end devices.

Login
The NFC Starter Kits offer an ideal introduction to NFC technology. Not least because all products in the Starter Kits contain only original chipsets from NXP. NFC tags with NTAG chipsets are compatible with all NFC-enabled smartphones. The NFC chips are delivered without content (empty). To use the NFC chips purposefully, additional apps are required, some of which we link to below.
Android
Android smartphones with NFC require additional apps to write to NFC tags. We have compiled typical use cases in our NFC for Android How2 collection.
iOS
NFC tags can be used in iOS with the integrated app "Shortcuts". For other use cases, we recommend an additional app, for example our free iOS app NFC21 Tools. In our NFC for iOS How2 collection, we have included several use cases for writing NFC tags with iOS devices.
Windows
In order to be able to use NFC tags under Windows, both suitable hardware (NFC USB reader/writer) and suitable software are required. In our How2 collection we show how to use the NFC tags with the appropriate NFC hardware and software (e.g. our free software NFC21-Tools).
