The wooden NFC cube comes with nine attractive stickers with different icons that can be stuck onto the cube. This means that each side of the cube can be given an individual function that matches the sticker's icon. For example, apps can be started automatically, smartphone settings can be changed, guests can connect to the Wi-Fi more easily and much more.

NFC product
The wooden NFC cube measures 45 x 45 x 45 mm. Nine printed NFC stickers are included with the NFC cube. The NFC stickers are made of PET and have a diameter of 30 mm. The sticker motifs are contact details, message, music, telephone, WLAN, location, internet, weather and alarm clock. The stickers are not pre-encoded and can be coded by yourself.
NFC chip
All stickers are equipped with the original NXP NTAG216, which offers the largest memory available in the NTAG21x series to date. The NXP NTAG21x series impresses with the greatest possible compatibility, good performance and intelligent additional functions. The NTAG216 has a total capacity of 924 bytes (free memory 888 bytes), of which usable memory in the NDEF is 868 bytes. Each individual chip has a unique serial number (UID) consisting of 7 bytes (alphanumeric, 14 characters). The NFC chip can be written up to 100,000 times and has a data retention of 10 years. The NTAG216 has the UID ASCII Mirror feature, which allows the tag's UID to be appended to the NDEF message, as well as an integrated NFC counter that automatically increments during readout. Both features are not enabled by default. The NTAG216 is compatible with all NFC-enabled smartphones, the NFC21 tools and all ISO14443 terminals.

Login
The NFC Starter Kits offer an ideal introduction to NFC technology. Not least because all products in the Starter Kits contain only original chipsets from NXP. NFC tags with NTAG chipsets are compatible with all NFC-enabled smartphones. The NFC chips are delivered without content (empty). To use the NFC chips purposefully, additional apps are required, some of which we link to below.
Android
Android smartphones with NFC require additional apps to write to NFC tags. We have compiled typical use cases in our NFC for Android How2 collection.
iOS
NFC tags can be used in iOS with the integrated app "Shortcuts". For other use cases, we recommend an additional app, for example our free iOS app NFC21 Tools. In our NFC for iOS How2 collection, we have included several use cases for writing NFC tags with iOS devices.
Windows
In order to be able to use NFC tags under Windows, both suitable hardware (NFC USB reader/writer) and suitable software are required. In our How2 collection we show how to use the NFC tags with the appropriate NFC hardware and software (e.g. our free software NFC21-Tools).
