Google ist ein 1998 gegründetes US-amerikanisches Unternehmen, das vor allem durch die gleichnamige Suchmaschine bekannt wurde. Google gehört zu den wertvollsten Marken der Welt und die Suchmaschine ist zudem die weltweit meistbesuchte Website. Zusätzlich bietet Google einige Dienstleistungen wie den Email-Service Gmail, die Cloud Google Drive oder auch die Video-Plattform Youtube. Mit Android veröffentlichte Google 2008 das eigene mobile Betriebsystem, welches bis heute weltweit führend ist und auf zahlreichen Smartphones diverser Hersteller zum Einsatz kommt. Zusätzlich vertreibt Google seit 2010 auch eigene Smartphones, die anfänglich noch von Partnern wie HTC, LG, Samsung, Asus, Motorola oder Huawei hergestellt wurden (Nexus-Reihe). Die neueste Generation der Google-Smartphones hört auf den Namen Pixel und wird komplett von Google entwickelt und produziert. Zusätzlich zu den Smartphones vertreibt Google außerdem Chromebooks (Notebooks), Tablets und Wearables.
